Two sets of figures, wrapped in cloth, compose this drawing by Costa Rican/Mexican artist Francisco Zuniga (1912-1998). Zuniga often depicts full-figured women dressed in clothes and native garb, as seen here. He has an international reputation as a sculptor and printmaker, known for his themes of communities and women. This pastel on paper work is signed and dated on the lower right and set in a gold wood frame with grey mat.
